The Nebraska Cybersecurity State Planning Committee has provided Federal Grant Funds from the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) to support your K-12 Public School District to meet the ever-evolving cybersecurity challenges and to keep a cyber incident from becoming a Cyber Disaster.

The Cybersecurity Risk Management Program is provided by ResoluteGuard on behalf of your ESU as a Free Resource - no need to apply for the grant funds- you’re already approved!

The overall objective is to reduce cyber risk while enhancing Nebraska’s K-12 Public School Districts cyber resilience. The grant funds are based upon the framework of a Continuous Improvement Model. A Cyber Risk Coordinator will schedule your Program Overview Call to get you started.

On the call, the Cyber Risk Coordinator will provide an overview of ResoluteGuard’s Proactive Cybersecurity Risk Management Program including a review of the SMART-Cyber Action Plan, vulnerability scan requirements, and schedule your Scan Activation Call.

Program Overview Call
60 Minutes

As with any critical process, our first step is meeting to understand your, people, goals, objectives, and priorities. This call is an opportunity for the Executive Leadership and IT Team to meet with ResoluteGuard’s Cyber Risk Coordinator and ensure their mission and goals align to support their plan/strategies. ResoluteGuard’s Cyber Risk Coordinators obtain the information needed to assess technical gaps and risks and update the members’ SMART- Cyber Action Plan.

Scan Activation Call
30 Minutes

The Cyber Risk Assessment includes vulnerability scans. These scans help to identify risks such as Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), server misconfigurations, and sensitive data exposures, all of which provide ResoluteGuard and the member with the information essential to developing their Cybersecurity strategy.

Report Review Call
60 Minutes

Internal Network and External Vulnerability Scan Reports include a description of Risk findings, recommendations and remedial actions. It prioritizes highest risks by severity and probability. The cyber risk assessment has great value when it provides actionable steps to remediate issues. Several Reports including network documentation (Assets, Users, application inventories, and more) are provided.

Continuous Improvement Call
60 Minutes

Continuous Improvement Calls assess the member’s Change and Progress; Reviewing scan reports; reviewing the SMART- Cyber Action Plan; providing guidance; and obtaining feedback to continuously improve your cyber posture.
